State governments also impose additional taxes like VAT on petrol and diesel, which can vary the prices of fuel in different parts of the country.

Every day at 6 am, the government oil marketing companies in the country announce the new prices of petrol and diesel. Today, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in major cities including the capital, Delhi.

Companies like Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Indian Oil Corporation release the prices of petrol and diesel on their website. Let’s find out the new prices of fuel.

New prices of petrol and diesel in metro cities

In Delhi, petrol costs 94.72 rupees per liter and diesel costs 87.62 rupees per liter. In Mumbai, petrol costs 104.21 rupees and diesel costs 92.15 rupees per liter. In Kolkata, petrol costs 103.94 rupees and diesel costs 90.76 rupees. In Chennai, petrol costs 100.85 rupees and diesel costs 92.44 rupees per liter.
