UP Weather Update: Due to the intense heat, the people of Uttar Pradesh will have to wait another month for the monsoon rain. As predicted earlier by meteorologists, this year’s summer is expected to be hotter than usual, and it has been evident that from March until now, there has been very little pre-monsoon rainfall.

Looking at the figures of pre-monsoon rainfall between March and May in the years 2023-24, compared to the normal pre-monsoon rainfall of 32.6 millimeters, there was 69.9 millimeters, which is 214 percent more rainfall last year.
In 2021-22, compared to the normal pre-monsoon rainfall of 32.6 millimeters, there was 23.3 millimeters, which is 71.5 percent, and in 2020-21, there was 94.4 millimeters, which is 289.5 percent more pre-monsoon rainfall.

Expecting good rain this year
Weather scientists in India who are closely monitoring the events have said that the formation of ‘La Nina’ conditions by June-August could mean that this year’s monsoon rainfall may be better than last year.
Heat increased due to El Nino
The ‘El Nino’ effect is a special situation related to the weather, which occurs when the temperature of the ocean in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean becomes higher than usual. Due to the El Nino effect, the temperature becomes quite hot.
This causes the warm surface water in the western Pacific region to move towards the east along with the equator, affecting the weather in India. In such a situation, we have to face very hot temperatures and drought-like conditions start to occur.
