Weather Update: The speed of the monsoon has increased. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is heavy rain in many parts of South India, including Kerala.
At the same time, relief from the heat wave is also expected in North India. An alert for rain has been issued in Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad near Delhi on Thursday.
Monsoon rains have started in Kerala, according to some private agencies. However, the Indian Meteorological Department has not confirmed this yet.
Typically, monsoon rains start in Kerala in June, but the IMD had predicted it to arrive on May 30th. The IMD website has warned that heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in parts of Kerala, so people have been alerted to be cautious.
When will the monsoon reach Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai
The Indian Weather Department has said that heavy rain may occur in Tamil Nadu after Kerala on June 1st. In Karnataka, Assam, and Andhra Pradesh, we hope the rainy season will arrive by June 5th. In Maharashtra, Telangana, and West Bengal, the rainy season might come around June 10th.
On June 15th, it is expected to start raining in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar. After that, it is hoped that the monsoon will reach the eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh by June 20th.
On June 25, the monsoon may reach states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Kashmir. By June 30, the monsoon may bring rain to Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab. After that, by July 5, the monsoon will cover the entire country.
